GUIDED PARAGLIDING IN TENERIFE
Canary Islands and Tenerife are one of the best winter destination and very appreciate by paragliding pilots from around the world. We count with numerous launch sites, soaring ridges, soft to middle strong thermal conditions. Ambitious pilots will find here some XC and spectacular flights from high altitudes 2200 AMSL. The flying season starts in the mid-October and lasts until mid-April. Due to multiple microclimates and airspaces resctrictions, a local guidance with proper meteo briefing and infos regarding flying sites is highly recommended.
General requirements for pilots:
- valid pilot's license + insurance (3rd party liability, recommended: travel accident insurance)
- equipment (glider, harness, rescue parachute, helmet) + flying instruments (e.g. vario/ GPS, compass, radio, phone with GPS)
- flying sites in Tenerife are quite demanding and requiere good take off and landings skills as well active flying knowlege
OPTION 1 FULL PACKAGE
FOR GROUPS/ CLUBS/ SCHOOLS WITH ACCOMMODATION
550€/ person
* minimum 4, maximum 8 pilots in group
- guiding with daily weather briefing and flying area infos
- transport to the launch site + retrieval from landing spot
- support on takeoff + radio backup
- 7 nights accommodation in paragliding base/ house
- airport transfer with taxi by agreement
OPTION 2 GUIDE ONLY
200€/day
* minimum 3 days, service for groups with own transport and accommodation
- guiding with daily weather briefing and flying area infos
- support on takeoff + radio backup
OPTION 3 INDEPENDENT PILOT
Autonomy pilots are welcome to join our shuttle service TAKEOFF STOP with transport to launch sites Taucho and Ifonche (Adeje) as well one-day guided flying tours around the island. Paragliding base/ house is located in Tenerife SW in Tijoco Bajo with 25 minutes distance form airport south Reina Sophia, 15 minutes from beach landing La Enramada in La Caleta, Adeje and 15 minutes from takeoff Taucho. 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, big open living room with kitchen, Wi-Fi, barbeque zone, parking spot. It is suitable for 6 (optimal) - 8/9 persons (groups).
